Kirk’s Folly: Or, How to Love Spam

It’s a sad day when you find out someone you know is excited about spam. NO, not THAT kind of spam….we’re actually talking about blog spam. Blog spam has been known to lead to fits of rage, the gnashing of teeth, bad dreams and hysterical rants…but I’m happy to say that even though his addiction has become more serious than doctor’s previously thought, he’s on the road to recovery.

So, I was talking with Kirk the other day about his “spam problem” and he gave me a few of his favorite examples. I have to admit to you that just reading his examples JUST ONCE, almost had me hooked. But hey, I know when to quit and it’s not like I’ve been reading my spam every day or anything this week – so I think I can handle it. You know Kirk, he’s all wrapped up in so many things it’s hard for him to resist the lure of spam. But me? I don’t think I’ll ever be addicted to it. I can control it, ya know? I know when to say when.

Anyway, I thought I’d share with you a few of the AWESOME spammer messages I got today. I’ m not sure if people actually write this stuff or if they’re generated by some sort of computer program but they sure are groovy, man. Take a look:

Spam #1: “this website is my inhalation. return style and perfect subject feather.”

Spam #2: ” you take care to keep it wise and thank you. for this information is what i can use all days long.”

Spam #3 : ” Your favorite justification seemed to be on the web the simplest factor to bear in mind of. I say to you, I certainly get irked at the same time as other people consider issues that they plainly do not recognize about.”

Dude. That’s good stuff right there and I can see how easy it would be to get hooked on spam like Kirk is and………….. DUDE!….another one just popped up. I GOTTA GO!
